Confused...

Hi me again.
Just another day...sitting at a computer...in a lesson...with nothing to do. Yet.

If anyone is reading this then i feel for you i really do. I mean you've had one post about democracy and such and now it's just...nothing very interesting at all.

You might be waiting for something incredibly literate and thought provoking but i don't quite know what will come next from my furiously typing fingers. Could it be something of war? Of hate and how it's tainting our lives, perhaps.

Or maybe, just maybe it could be the thoughts of a distraught teenage girl, wondering, like most, how the male brain works. I know that they say women are difficult and confusing, we are. So are they, we confuse each other with cryptic messages and signals. Why can't we just have the balls to say i like you, do you like me? But when you ask sometimes you don't get the answer you want. Which in some cases ist' okay, in others it's not.

I was okay with it...but then, things happened. Men say things and then do the exact opposite. If any guy is reading this then can i ask you a question?

If you flirt with a girl, then find out she likes you and you turn her down gently and it then ends okay because she's fine with it. But then why would you keep looking at her? Why keep flirting with her if you're not normally flirty?

Thanks for reading!

Dystopia

Hi, so I know it must be a shock (if anyone out there is actually reading this) that I've updated already but I needed to get something written down.

Today in my drama class we were studying A number by Caryl Churchill. A dystopian play based on cloning and how lies can effect people in different ways. If no one has read it and is interested in Theatre of the Absurd, or experimental, socialist and feminist writers (for all you drama nerds out there) do, it's a good read once you get around the lack of punctuation.

And it got me thinking, if we live in this 'perfect' society then something has got to give, right? Because I know for a fact that we don't. I mean, look at all the evidence that's spread across our news every night.

We live in a democracy, where there is always a top dog and no one is viewed as an equal. I know that most people do see others as equals but some don't, especially those who's life has been easier. I'm not stereotyping, please, please don't think I am and if anyone copy's what i write out of context, that's your problem. But really think about this.

We live in a world where we are always expecting the worst. Always writing, reading about dystopias (the opposite to a Utopia so basically a disaster, examples I can think of are films like 2012, The Day After Tomorrow and 28 Days Later) and a world gone wrong. But what are we doing to avoid this? We seem to be fascinated by our own destruction, fascinated by what we can not understand so we keep asking questions to which we don't know the answers. Sending probes into space, making so much noise with all of our technology just to find the answer to our questions.

And that's where the democracy comes in. Surely if something bad was going to happen in the world...it would come from above? Not literally of course, although that's highly probable. Not from natural disasters of such a dramatic scale like in 2012, but from higher up in the 'food chain' shall I say?

From people with a high authority and power to do much more damage like countries with governments armed with nuclear weapons.

So my question and point is this, can we really trust that we are safe? Especially with all these threats of wars ranging over our heads. Or do we just let them fight it out above us while we scrounge around to make a living out of mediocre jobs.

Sorry for the subject but i was in a ranting mood. If you don't like it, don't read.

Thanks for reading (if you did)!

Hey...

Hi, so I'm Jade.
Don't ask that's all your going to get.
Now you might be wondering why I've just suddenly decided to create a blog. In all honesty...so am I. I guess this will be like a dairy. Where I'll dump my thougths and feelings at random points during the course of however long I can keep this up. Feel free to drop in and have a read of course. I'm sure it'll be entertaining at some points. I must warn you however that it will also be somewhat deep and hopefully thought provoking.
So here's to a new start, of Internet connection and maybe the start of something great.
Thanks for reading!
